Report: Manchester United to trigger Neymar buyout clause with £140m bid

Manchester United reportedly make Barcelona a bid in the region of £140m for talismanic forward Neymar.

Manchester United have made a bid in the region of £140m for Barcelona forward Neymar, according to reports.

The Brazil international, who has been out of action for the last two weeks with the mumps virus, joined the La Liga champions from Santos in 2013.

According to Brazilian newspaper GloboEsporte, the Red Devils have made an official approach for Neymar which matches his buyout clause at the Nou Camp.

Man United were previously linked with Neymar's now-former teammate Pedro, who signed for Chelsea instead.
