Manchester United have reportedly made an offer to Porto for midfielder Joao Moutinho.
The Portugal international is believed to have attracted interest from the former Premier League champions, who some have suggested are in need of a creative midfielder for the new campaign.
It is understood that Sir Alex Ferguson has committed a £20m bid for the playmaker but the Portuguese outfit are thought to be holding out for a fee in the region of £26m, according to The Times.
The North West outfit have already added Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa and Crewe Alexandra youngster Nick Powell to their arsenal this summer.
