Manchester United are reportedly highly unlikely to complete deals for either James Maddison or Ben Chilwell in the January transfer window.

Manchester United will reportedly be unable to complete deals for either James Maddison or Ben Chilwell in the January transfer window.

Both players have been tipped for moves to big clubs over the next year following a string of impressive performances at Leicester City.

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils are confident of completing a deal for Maddison, while Chilwell is said to be viewed as a replacement for Luke Shaw.

According to Manchester Evening News, however, any deal for either player in January looks to be extremely unlikely.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has instructed the United board to focus on signing a striker over the January window, with reports claiming that the Premier League club are close to reaching a deal for Mario Mandzukic.
