Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly agreed a deal 'in principle' to join Spanish champions Barcelona.

Pogba's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain amid persistent rumours of a rift between him and manager Jose Mourinho, which included him being stripped of the United vice-captaincy last month.

The World Cup winner is understood to have been eager to leave Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, with Barcelona leading the race for his signature ahead of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Rai Sport claims that Pogba's agent Mino Raiola has now agreed a deal in principle for that transfer to take place, although there is no mention of whether it will occur in the January window or next summer instead.

The United hierarchy are thought to be intent on keeping Pogba at the club, having only signed him in a then world-record deal two years ago.

However, Pogba is unhappy with how he has been treated by Mourinho and reportedly believes that he has been incorrectly utilised since his return to Old Trafford.
