Manchester United will reportedly miss out on the chance to sign Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic for the second summer in a row.
United were strongly linked with the Croatian ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, with Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho a known admirer of the left-sided forward.
The 20-time English champions were believed to be keen to press ahead with another move having been frustrated last summer, but according to Calciomercato, Perisic will snub a switch to Old Trafford to stay in Serie A.
United are also believed to be considering a swoop for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Ante Rebic, who impressed alongside Perisic as Croatia reached the final of the 2018 World Cup.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is believed to be keen to press ahead with a move for Leicester City's Harry Maguire after being frustrated in his attempts to sign Toby Alderweireld from Tottenham Hotspur.
