Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reveals that Matteo Darmian wants to leave the club this summer, but the full-back will only be sold if the right offer is made.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is up for sale, but no interested clubs have yet been able to match his valuation.

The Italy international has been linked with an array of teams over the past six months after falling down the Old Trafford pecking order, including both Juventus and Inter Milan.

Neither club has been able to strike an agreement with United, however, and Mourinho insists that the Red Devils will not offload until a better offer is tabled, even if the player himself is keen to depart.

"Matteo wants to leave and I think when a player wants to leave, if the right offer arrives, you have to try to be human and let the player follow his instinct," he told reporters.

"But not at any price and, until now, the offers we got for Matteo are not even close to being accepted. If Matteo leaves, he leaves because the right offer arrives, and if he stays, he can be important for us."

Darmian started five Premier League games for United last season, compared to 15 the year before and 24 in his first campaign at the club.
