Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly only willing to shell out a fee of £50m for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba next summer.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will reportedly only shell out a fee of £50m for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba next summer.

The Frenchman is expected to angle for a move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season after declaring in June that he wanted a "new challenge".

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane is said to have pushed to sign Pogba last summer, only for United to stand firm in their £160m valuation of the player.

According to Mundo Deportivo, however, Perez is not prepared to splash the cash on the midfielder, and will only spend £50m on the 26-year-old in the summer window.

Pogba, whose contract expires in 2021 with the option of another year, has not featured for the Red Devils since late September due to a foot injury.
