Report: Arsenal to rival Manchester United for Thomas Meunier

Arsenal reportedly plan to rival Manchester United for the signing of Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier, who has previously worked with Unai Emery.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly plotting a reunion with Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier.

The Belgium international has just a year to run on his existing deal at the Parc des Princes and has already been touted as a possible target for Manchester United.

United's Premier League rivals Arsenal are also in the running to sign the 27-year-old, with France Football reporting that Emery is keen to work with the defender again following their time together at PSG.

Meunier is said to be considered an ideal option for the Gunners at right-back, where they have struggled this season in the injury absence of Hector Bellerin.

Thilo Kehrer and Colin Dagba were often preferred to Meunier during the 2018-19 campaign, but the Parisians are still rumoured to be holding out for a £26m fee.
