Marco Asensio is reportedly a summer transfer target for Manchester United, who are prepared to trigger the Spanish attacker's £70m release clause.

Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio could be tempted by a move to Manchester United at the end of the season, according to a report.

The 21-year-old is said to have attracted interest from a number of other heavyweight European clubs, including the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Spanish outlet Don Balon suggests that Asensio is weighing up a Bernabeu exit as he fears going down the same route as Alvaro Morata, who made 20 of his 35 appearances for Los Blancos last term from the bench.

United are reportedly considering a £70m offer, which would be enough to trigger the Spain international's release clause, and it will then be down to the player to decide whether to stay or leave.

Asensio has three goals and two assists for Spanish and European champions Madrid in all competitions this term.
