A report claims that Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is a target for Barcelona following the Spanish side's failure to land Matthijs de Ligt.

Barcelona have inquired about the availability of Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof, according to a report.

The Spanish giants are rumoured to have admitted defeat in their long-running pursuit of Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt, who has agreed personal terms with Juventus.

Mundo Deportivo claims that focus for a new defender has now turned elsewhere and Sweden international Lindelof has caught the attention of Camp Nou chiefs.

Barca are said to have already contacted United several times, but the Red Devils are not interested in discussing a deal.

Lindelof is part of United's squad for their pre-season tour of Australia, which begins with a friendly against Perth Glory on Saturday.
