Report: Angel di Maria keen on Monaco move

Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria reportedly asks his agent to find him a new club and would favour a move to Monaco over a switch Premier League.

Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria is expected to snub a move to either Arsenal or Manchester United in favour of a switch to big-spending Monaco.

The Gunners tried to sign the Argentine along with Mesut Ozil in the summer, but Los Blancos manager Carlo Ancelotti decided that he only wanted to lose one of the creative duo.

They maintain an interest in the 25-year-old, and Manchester United are also admirers of Di Maria, who is apparently becoming frustrated with a lack of starting opportunities since the £85m arrival of Gareth Bale.

According to Spanish paper El Confidencial, he has instructed his agent to find him a new club and negotiations with Monaco, who spent £150m on new recruits in the last transfer window, are underway.

Di Maria only started once for Madrid during November, but has since returned to the team because of the injury to Cristiano Ronaldo, who has confirmed that he is now back to full fitness.
