Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is hoping to leave Old Trafford next year, according to a report.

Dean Henderson is reportedly pushing to leave Manchester United next year after failing to reclaim the number one spot from David de Gea.

The England international was expected to be first choice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this term, but he has been restricted to just one appearance in all competitions.

Henderson struggled with coronavirus in the summer and was late returning to pre-season training for the Red Devils, an opportunity that De Gea seized on.

Tom Heaton's return to Old Trafford has only increased the competition for a starting spot, and the Daily Mail suggests that Henderson is now ready to leave the club.

However, it is claimed that the 24-year-old accepts he will not be granted permission to leave in January, meaning he will have to wait until the end of the season before departing.

United academy product Henderson has made 27 appearances for the Premier League side in all competitions.
