Inter Milan are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney at the end of the season.
Rooney, 31, has only scored once in 12 appearances for Man United this term and has been omitted from Jose Mourinho's first selection in recent weeks due to a lack of form.
It has been reported that Mourinho has informed Rooney that he will have to leave Old Trafford if he wants regular football, which has attracted the attention of a number of clubs from the MLS and Chinese Super League.
However, according to The Sun, Inter will offer the England captain, who is currently nursing a knee problem, the chance to continue his career in European football with a move at the end of the current campaign.
Only Bobby Charlton has scored more goals for Man United than Rooney, who is currently three behind the total set by the club legend (249) between the years 1956 and 1973.
