Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in talks with Barcelona over a move for midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international struggled for playing time in his first season at Camp Nou, starting just 12 times in all competitions after arriving from Juventus.
With Barca desperately trying to reduce their wage bill, Pjanic is on the list of players that the Catalan giants are hoping to offload this summer.
Spurs recently moved ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign the 31-year-old and, according to Mundo Deportivo, they are now negotiating a deal with Barcelona.
The same report indicates that Pjanic would prefer to return to Juventus, but the Serie A club are not currently in a position to bring the midfielder back on board.
Any transfer this summer would likely be on an initial loan basis with a view to a permanent deal next year.
