Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman is desperately seeking a move to Manchester United when the transfer window reopens in January, according to a report.
The 24-year-old was a target of Louis van Gaal this summer, but the Dutchman decided against signing the midfielder due his continued recovery from a knee injury.
However, Strootman is to make his comeback later this month and is determined to show Van Gaal that he is capable of making the switch to the Premier League, reports The Mirror.
The Netherlands international has also changed his representation to the group that organised Robin van Persie's transfer to United in anticipation of the potential £25m move.
Strootman has made 25 appearances for the Netherlands, scoring three goals.
