Karl-Heinz Rummenigge: 'Thomas Muller, Mario Gotze not for sale'

Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze will not be leaving Bayern Munich this summer, according to chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

Chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has insisted that Bayern Munich will not sell either Thomas Muller or Mario Gotze this summer.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly made numerous approaches for Muller, with some speculation having claimed that the Red Devils would be prepared to part with upwards of £50m to sign the 25-year-old.

However, Rummenigge has revealed that there is "no price" which could tempt Bayern to do business.

"Louis van Gaal is very stubborn, but there is no price for Thomas Muller," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Rummenigge added that attacking midfielder Gotze, who has been linked with Juventus, has told the Bavarians that he would like to remain at the Allianz Arena.

"He has informed the club that he wants to stay and wants to assert himself here. If there's no new initiative from him, it's the end of this story," said the former Bayern striker.

Bayern will begin their Bundesliga campaign with a home encounter against Hamburg tomorrow night.
