Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says that Alexis Sanchez still has a future at Old Trafford, despite joining Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted that Alexis Sanchez could still play for Manchester United in the future.

After contributing just five goals from 45 appearances in all competitions, Sanchez has been allowed to join Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal.

However, with the Italian side not having the option to push through a permanent transfer, Solskjaer has claimed that the Chile international could return to United's first-team squad for the next campaign.

While also referring to Chris Smalling's switch to Roma, Solskjaer is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "Definitely. This is a loan for a year.

"We expect them to be professional. Go there and represent Manchester United as well. We want them to do well."

Sanchez still has just under three years remaining on his contract.
