Sporting Lisbon: "No sales in January"

Sporting Lisbon president Bruno de Carvalho denies that players will leave the club in January.

Sporting Lisbon president Bruno de Carvalho has insisted that the Portuguese outfit will not sanction any departures in January unless there is "a ridiculous offer".

Diego Capel, Rui Patricio and William Carvalho have all been linked with the Premier League, but De Carvalho has blocked any bids in the winter window.

De Carvalho told A Bola: "The club has decided that there will be no sales in January. The club is leading the division for the first time in nine years and we are determined to fight for the title.

"Only if a ridiculous offer is put in for a player will it be studied."

Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move for Carvalho.
