Corentin Tolisso reveals his desire to play in the Premier League amid links of a move to Manchester United this summer, following his departure from Bayern Munich.

Corentin Tolisso has revealed his desire to play in the Premier League amid links of a move to Manchester United this summer, following his departure from Bayern Munich.

It was recently confirmed that the 27-year-old would leave Bavaria upon the expiration of his contract in June, bringing an end to a five-year stay with the Bundesliga outfit following his £37m move from Lyon in 2017.

As a result of his exit, the likes of United and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the central midfielder on a free transfer deal in the coming weeks, to which the Frenchman has responded to in a recent interview.

Speaking to L'Equipe, Tolisso said: "I would be interested in England, with its intensity, but I'm not ruling out any league."

The World Cup winner has endured a frustrating time during many of his five years in Germany due to several injury problems, and Tolisso has been discussing those fitness issues too.

Continuing with L'Equipe, Tolisso said: "I am convinced that my issues are more psychological than physical. It's more in my head than with my body.

"I worked with a mental coach to put words to what I was going through. Now, I'm 5,000% convinced I can get back to a very high level physically. I'm going to do a one-month training period so that I'm ready for the start of next season.

"I want to go play a major role in a club. To continue winning trophies. I know what I'm capable of. I know to what point a change in my life and in my surroundings will do me good."

Tolisso helped Bayern to five successive Bundesliga titles as part of their decade of dominance in Germany's top flight, during which the 27-year-old made 118 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring 21 goals.
