Manchester United striker Joshua King has completed a deal to join Blackburn Rovers on loan until January.
King made his only appearance for United this season in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray and will now spend six weeks at Ewood Park in a bid to gain regular first-team football.
The 20-year-old has declared that he jumped at the chance to link up with countrymen Henning Berg at Rovers.
He told TV2: "Why waste six weeks of my career in the reserve league for United when I can develop myself and become better at Blackburn?
"Henning came with an offer I could not refuse. Now I look forward to playing myself into the team, score a few goals, and help Blackburn up the table."
King is a full international for Norway and scored his first goal on his third appearance last month in a World Cup qualifier against Cyprus.
