Manchester United outcast Victor Valdes linked with Newcastle United

Newcastle United are reportedly lining up a swoop for Manchester United outcast Victor Valdes.

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has reportedly emerged as a target for Newcastle United.

The Magpies are considering the Old Trafford outcast as a potential replacement for injured stopper Tim Krul, according to The Mirror.

Valdes is reportedly considering the move after being frozen out at United, with reports suggesting that he no longer has a locker at the team's training ground.

United boss Louis van Gaal is said to be unwilling to allow Valdes to join a direct rival, but may permit him to sign for struggling Newcastle.
