Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke rules out the possibility of Erling Braut Haaland leaving the club this summer.

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has once again ruled out the possibility of Erling Braut Haaland leaving the club this summer.

Haaland has emerged as one of the most coveted players in world football since bursting onto the scene last season, with a who's who of top European clubs understood to be interested in his signature.

Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Chelsea are thought to be among the front-runners for the 20-year-old, and his agent Mino Raiola held a series of meetings with the top clubs in Spain and England earlier this year.

Haaland is expected to cost around £150m this summer and Dortmund were understood to be considering cashing in on him given that he has a clause in his contract which would allow him to leave for just £62m next year.

However, Watzke has reiterated that the prolific Norway international is not for sale and will spend at least one more year with the German outfit.

"I've known Raiola for a long time and get along well with him. It's no problem for us," Watzke told reporters.

"Erling Haaland will remain a Borussia Dortmund player next year."

Haaland has scored 37 goals in 38 games for Dortmund across all competitions this season, and 53 in 56 outings since joining the club in January 2020.
