Younes Belhanda scores twice as Montpellier claim a 3-1 win over Marseille.

Montpellier have opened up a three-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table by winning 3-1 at Marseille this evening.

The visitors opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Djimi Traore was adjudged to have handled inside the area. Younes Belhanda stepped up to dispatch the resultant penalty into the net.

However, Marseille were level before the break when Stephane Mbia headed in Brandao's flicked pass in the 33rd minute.

Montpellier went back in front two minutes after the restart when Souleymane Camara crossed for Olivier Giroud, who volleyed into the net.

Belhanda made sure of the victory in the 71st minute when he sent acrobatic effort into the corner of the goal.
