Tony Mowbray: 'Defeat is hard to take'

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray admits that Friday's 3-2 defeat at Birmingham City in the Championship is "tough to take".

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has admitted that his side's 3-2 defeat at Birmingham City in the Championship on Friday night is "tough to take".

Boro had led twice at St Andrews, but two goals from Marlon King helped to stop the visitors from going joint-top of the table.

"We came to win tonight and tried to be positive," Mowbray told Sky Sports News. "We got our noses in front twice and it's tough to take when you're in front feeling reasonably comfortable."

Middlesbrough's seventh loss of the season has seen them stay in third place in the standings.
