A header from Jordan Rhodes has given Huddersfield Town a one-goal advantage at the break at their trip to MK Dons in the League One playoffs this afternoon.
Both sides enjoyed spells in possession during the opening exchanges without calling either goalkeeper into any telling action.
The first real chance of the match fell to Huddersfield substitute Kallum Higginbotham in the 31st minute, but his effort from close range was parried to safety by Dons goalkeeper David Martin.
However, just one minute later Martin was unable to prevent the visitors from taking the lead. Lee Novak sent over a cross for his strike partner Rhodes, who glanced a headed effort beyond the reach of a diving Martin.
Charlie MacDonald had the home side's best chance to draw level before the break when his strike from inside the area was deflected wide of the upright.
