Stephen Robinson's men are on a six-game winning streak in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Curtis Main is relishing Motherwell's new attacking system and feels they can take the game to Celtic at the right times on Sunday.

Main has been the focal point for Motherwell's attack for the bulk of a six-game winning run in the Ladbrokes Premiership, scoring once but playing a key role in the centre of a front three, linking up well with the midfield and wide men.

The 26-year-old said: "We worked hard on the new system over the winter break.

"With a couple of new players and a new system, sometimes it does take a little while. But barring the cup game, which was obviously disappointing, the league form has picked up straight away and we have managed to keep it going. So everything has gelled together nicely.

"It is a different role for myself but it's one I have played in the past. I quite enjoy playing the role so it wasn't too hard for me.

"We are trying to be a bit more fluid in the final third and rotations from the front three and even the midfielders joining in. It's something we work hard on in training.

"As a striker that's what I want, positive football and hopefully lots of chances and goals."

Motherwell are aiming to win seven consecutive top-flight matches for the first time since 1933, when they won the first nine matches of the season to take their winning run to 10.

Their previous six-game winning run ended at Celtic Park five years ago but Main believes they can trouble the champions.

"We are obviously going to have to adapt to each team we play, there's a game plan for every game," he said.

"But we are not going to completely move away from what we have been doing over the last six or seven games. It's just about doing it the right way and at the right time.

"When you play opposition like Celtic you are not going to dominate a game, but when you have possession you have to make it count."
