Aurelio De Laurentis: 'I'd sell Gonzalo Higuain for £64.7m'

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis is recorded by a fan talking about a possible fee for striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis has reportedly told a fan that he would sell striker Gonzalo Higuain, but only if potential buyer pays €90m (£64.7m).

Higuain is rumoured to want a move away from the Stadio San Paolo after Gli Azzurri's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League and Rafael Benitez's departure for Real Madrid.

However, a Napoli fan is said to have recorded a conversation with De Laurentis on his phone in which the club's president discussed a possible fee for the Argentine international.

He is quoted as saying: "Sell Higuain for €90 million? I'd like to sell him. That way I can buy eight players for the club!"

Napoli finished fourth in Serie A after a 4-2 defeat to Lazio on the final day of the season.
