Experienced Spanish forward Fernando Llorente has reportedly agreed a two-year deal with Napoli.
The 34-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer having left Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.
Manchester United had been linked with a move for the Spaniard earlier this month, while it was also suggested that Spurs wanted to bring him back to the club on a short-term deal.
However, according to Sky in Italy, Napoli have won the race to sign the free agent, who will undergo a medical at the weekend after agreeing a contract until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
The striker scored eight times in 35 appearances for Spurs last season - including two in the Champions League as Mauricio Pochettino's side reached the final.
Napoli will be looking to make it back-to-back wins at the start of the new Serie A campaign when they travel to the champions Juventus on Saturday night.
