Newcastle United's Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini 'receive fitness boosts'

Newcastle United pair Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini are reportedly not expected to be out injured until Christmas, despite initial reports.

Newcastle United duo Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini are reportedly not expected to be out of action for the next month, despite reports regarding their injury woes.

It was claimed that the pair would not feature until Christmas due to respective injury problems.

Coloccini is believed to have suffered a thigh injury during the Magpies' 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on November 9, while Taylor has picked up a knee problem.

Despite reports that both face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, according to the Daily Star, Coloccini is being monitored, while Taylor has a chance of being declared fit for Saturday's Premier League match against Queens Park Rangers.

The North-East outfit are currently eighth in the league table after winning their last four games.
