Fabricio Coloccini thanks Newcastle United fans

Fabricio Coloccini thanks Newcastle's supporters after their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini thanked the club's supporters after their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

The Magpies ended a run of eight straight defeats with the draw against the Baggies at St James' Park, and the Argentine centre-back was appreciative of the fans after the game.

He told Sky Sports News: "I think we tried everything to win the game, and we created some chances, more than in games that we have played before. We gave everything and it's good that we showed good spirit.

"To the fans, I say thank you, because they were with us, and we need them to be there for the next two games."

The draw leaves Newcastle two points above the drop zone in the Premier League table.
