Newcastle United's Steve Taylor praises the attitude of Demba Ba after his brace against Everton.

Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor has hailed the impact of Demba Ba during their draw at Everton.

The Senegal international came off the bench to twice equalise for the visitors and earn a 2-2 draw for the Magpies, cancelling out efforts from Leighton Baines and Victor Anichebe for the hosts.

Ba, who was the club's leading scorer last season, was left on the bench at the start of the match, and Taylor has praised his teammate's positive attitude.

"It would've been easy for him just to sulk about not starting but he came on and turned the game on its head for us," Taylor said.

"He was fantastic when he came on, caused problems and put himself about. He's a goal machine - even when you play against him in training, he's a strong fella. You give him half a yard and he'll score."

Newcastle now sit 11th in the Premier League, while Everton are seventh.
