Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Newcastle United could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Newcastle United could be without up to five players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth at St James' Park.

Harvey Barnes (muscle) recently joined Jamaal Lascelles (knee) and Callum Wilson (thigh) in the treatment room and all three players are targeting returns at some stage next month.

Goalkeeper Nick Pope is hoping to return from a knee injury before the end of this month and it is possible that he could make his comeback this weekend. If not, then Martin Dubravka will retain his place between the sticks.

Fabian Schar missed Newcastle's 3-0 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday night due to illness, but he could be fit to return to the heart of defence alongside Sven Botman, which would likely see Dan Burn drop down to the substitutes' bench.

While Valentino Livramento and Lewis Hall are expected to continue as full-backs, midfield triumvirate Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Joelinton should link up once again in the middle of the pitch, although Joe Willock will be pushing for a recall.

In-form talisman Alexander Isak netted a brace against Wolves to become just the fourth player in Premier League history to score in eight consecutive matches, and he is set to be joined in attack by wingers Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy.

Newcastle United possible starting lineup: Dubravka; Livramento, Botman, Schar, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon
