Preview: Newcastle United vs. Reading

Sports Mole previews the Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Reading.

Newcastle United host Reading on Saturday looking to build on their goalless draw away at Norwich City last weekend.

The draw was Newcastle's first point in four Premier League games, which has left them in 16th place in the Premier League table.

Manager Alan Pardew could hand midfielder Yohan Cabaye a start against Reading, after the French international made an appearance from the substitutes' bench last weekend.

Reading manager Brian McDermott witnessed his side pull off a stunning comeback to defeat West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

The Royals scored three goals in the final eight minutes to come from 2-0 behind, and a victory at St James' Park would bring them to within two points of the Magpies.

McDermott handed a debut to new signing Daniel Caricco last week, but he could replace him with Gareth McCleary.
