Reading have taken Zambian centre-back Stopilla Sunzu on a one-week trial.

Zambia interantional Stopilla Sunzu has begun training with Premier League outfit Reading.

The 23-year-old will spend a week with the Royals, where he is also expected to undergo a medical in case manager Brian McDermott opts to sign him on a permanent contract.

However, should the centre-back earn a move to the Madejski Stadium, he will not be available until February because he is due to participate at the Africa Cup of Nations for his country.

Sunzu scored the winning penalty during last year's competition to help his side claim the trophy at the expense of the Ivory Coast.

He currently plays his club football for TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
