Serie A side Genoa are reportedly keen to sign Newcastle United loanee Facundo Ferreyra during next month's transfer window.
The 23-year-old arrived at St James' Park during the summer on a season-long loan deal from Shakhtar Donetsk.
However, the striker is yet to make his debut for the Magpies, with reports having suggested that he has failed to adapt to life on Tyneside.
As a result, Genoa are ready to end Ferreyra's stint in England by offering his Ukrainian employers a permanent deal, according to talkSPORT.
It has been suggested that Genoa head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has identified Ferreyra as a replacement for Mauricio Pinilla, who is expected to join Atalanta in the near future.
