Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Brighton & Hove Albion keen on Emmanuel Adebayor?

Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is thought to be of interest to Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly expressed interest in securing the services of former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

The 35-year-old, who has also played for Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace in the top flight, is currently a free agent after leaving Turkish side Kayserispor at the end of last year.

According to The Sun, Adebayor is keen on "one last shot" in the Premier League as he looks to reach a century of goals in the English top flight.

"He has 97 goals and is keen to reach 100 Premier League goals," a friend told the newspaper. "He also wants to pass his close friend Didier Drogba's record of 104 goals in the Premier League to become the all-time top African top scorer in the Premier League."

Adebayor is already Togo's top international scorer with 32 goals but despite his extensive experience has just one domestic honour to his name - a 2011 triumph in the Copa del Rey while on loan at Real Madrid.
