Newcastle United are reportedly considering a swoop for Brentford winger Said Benrahma.
The Algerian wide-man, 24, was linked with a move to Aston Villa before the start of the season but the newly-promoted outfit were thought to have been priced out of a move as the Bees demanded £25m.
Newcastle, however, are now thought to be interested in Benrahma and could go in for him in the January transfer window, according to The Shields Gazette.
The Magpies have been tipped among the relegation candidates following the departure of Rafael Benitez, with replacement Steve Bruce receiving a mixed reception from the Newcastle faithful.
If they manage to land Benrahma this winter, they will hope he can replicate his fine goalscoring form of last season, having scored 10 goals and recorded 15 assists from just 38 appearances in the Championship.
However, Newcastle did manage to reinforce in attacking areas in the summer, bringing Allan Saint-Maximin and Joelinton in before the window shut.
