Newcastle United want to sign West Bromwich Albion centre-back Craig Dawson this summer, according to a report.

Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing West Bromwich Albion centre-back Craig Dawson.

Dawson is widely expected to leave the Baggies this summer, with the team's relegation to the Championship now confirmed.

Celtic have previously been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, but according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are also in the hunt for a player who could cost in the region of £15m.

Dawson, who is just one of a number of players due to leave West Brom this summer, has made more than 150 Premier League appearances since moving to The Hawthorns in the summer of 2010.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have also been credited with an interest in the centre-back.
