Conference Premier side Darlington enter administration for third time.

Conference Premier side Darlington have been placed into administration for the third time in the club's recent history.

As a result, the Quakers will be handed a ten-point deduction.

"It is with huge regret that we've had to place the club into administration today. I for one certainly didn't envisage this when I took over the club back in August 2009," said chairman Raj Singh.

"I made my position very clear in November and I'd like to stress that we've tried everything we can to resolve the various issues. It was never my intention for it to end like this.

"I'd again like to thank the fans who have sent me words of support and encouragement. I'd like to think the majority of our supporters are level-headed and understand my position, and know how hard I've worked to try to bring success to the club."

Darlington will now drop to 16th in the Blue Square Bet Premier table.
