The Premier League have confirmed that all matches this weekend will hold a minute's applause in tribute to the late Gary Speed before kickoff.
An inquest today concluded that the 42-year-old was found hanged by his wife Louise at his home in Cheshire on Sunday morning.
While Championship and Carling Cup clashes are expected to hold a minute's silence this evening, Premier League meetings will carry out the less traditional applause to celebrate the life and career of the Wales manager.
A full inquest into the former Bolton Wanderers midfielder's death will be opened on January 30, 2012.
