Norwich City boss Alex Neil ready for "test of character" after Aston Villa loss

Norwich City manager Alex Neil admits that his side face a "test of character" after losing at Aston Villa and dropping into the Premier League's bottom three.

Norwich City manager Alex Neil has admitted that his side are "under pressure" after dropping into the Premier League's relegation zone.

The Canaries went down 2-0 at Aston Villa this afternoon, becoming just the third team to lose to Villa this season, and slumped down to 18th because of Newcastle United's win over West Bromwich Albion.

"It's a test of character now," Neil said after today's defeat. "[The players] need to do what it takes to win games when they are under pressure.

"We had opportunities in the game but we didn't defend our box for the first goal. We're really disappointed."

Norwich have lost six matches in a row in all competitions and conceded 19 goals in that time. They next host sixth-placed West Ham United before a trip to league leaders Leicester City later this month.
