Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has admitted that his team did not defend to the standard he expects against Manchester City this afternoon.
Edin Dzeko scored twice in the first four minutes at Carrow Road in a frustrating afternoon for the Canaries.
Hughton's side fought back but came up on the wrong end of a 4-3 scoreline in an entertaining encounter.
The Canaries boss declared that he was proud of his side's response but was disappointed with the manner in which they conceded at regular intervals.
He told BBC Sport: "We have got a lot of spirit and we showed that to get back into the game deservedly but conceded poor goals."
Defeat to the reigning champions keeps Norwich in 11th place heading into 2013.
