Sports Mole previews Norwich City's match with Newcastle United at Carrow Road.

Norwich City host Newcastle United on Saturday as they look to secure their first points in the Premier League in five games.

The Canaries have not won in the league since their 2-1 success over Wigan Athletic on December 15 but they still remain in 12th place in the Premier League table.

Manager Chris Hughton rested several first-team players for the club's 3-0 win over Peterborough United last weekend and while the majority of them are expected to return against Newcastle, Simeon Jackson could retain his place after impressing at London Road.

Newcastle travel to Carrow Road on the back of four consecutive defeats and the Magpies now sit just two points above the relegation zone.

Manager Alan Pardew has been hindered in recent months by injuries to his key players and after the sale of striker Demba Ba, he is further limited by the suspension of Shola Ameobi.

However, he could be able to call on the services of Papiss Cisse, who was absent from last weekend's 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.
