Nottingham Forest draw 0-0 with Leicester City in the FA Cup third round.

Nottingham Forest and Leicester City will face an FA Cup third round replay after a 0-0 stalemate at the City Ground.

The game started in frantic fashion as both teams looked to make an early impact, but this was broken up by an early injury to Jeff Schlupp, who was stretchered off.

Forest looked the stronger team after the stoppage, and almost took the lead when Chris Gunter crossed to Lewis McGugan, whose volley was well saved by Kasper Schmeichel.

Andy Reid then had a chance to put the home side ahead, but once again Schmeichel was equal to it.

Leicester's first chance came from a free kick 30 yards out. A cross from Paul Gallagher was headed on by David Nugent, but came back off the crossbar.

Nugent then looked to take advantage of an underhit backpass, only to miss the open goal.

The second half was less eventful, although Forest keeper Lee Camp was called into action on a couple of occasions.

The best chance for a winner came late on. However, Leicester's Dyer hit his shot from inside the six-yard box over the crossbar.
