Stephen McLaughlin makes Southend United switch

Southend United complete the signing of winger Stephen McLaughlin from Nottingham Forest on a two-year deal.

Southend United have completed the signing of winger Stephen McLaughlin from Nottingham Forest.

The 25-year-old, who spent the end of last season on loan with the Shrimpers, has penned a two-year contract at Roots Hall.

"I'm really pleased to have brought Stephen back and not many teams at this level will have options like we do out wide now," manager Phil Brown told the Southend Echo.

McLaughlin made 12 appearances for Forest after joining the club from Derry City in 2013.
