Palermo director Pietro Lo Monaco is confident of securing the loan signing of Wigan Athletic striker Mauro Boselli.
Boselli has struggled to establish himself at the DW Stadium and Lo Monaco has insisted that the Argentinian forward is close to moving to Italy.
Lo Monaco told Mediagol: "It's a good operation and it is practically done.
"We're in the final stages of negotiations and he could even arrive tomorrow. He'll join on loan, with the option to be signed outright."
Boselli has scored five goals in 23 appearances for Wigan.
