Half-Time Report: Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town cancel each other

Port Vale and Shrewsbury Town play out a 0-0 half-time draw at New Meadow in League One this afternoon.

Port Vale and Shrewsbury Town have played out a 0-0 half-time draw at New Meadow in League One this afternoon.

Vale boasted the possession throughout the opening 15 minutes but struggled in their attempts to beyond Salop's defence.

Some 36 minutes elapsed before either side fashioned a goalscoring opportunity.

Town went in search of the opener and almost found one through Joseph Mills, whose left-footed effort whistled narrowly wide of the post.

It proved to be the last action of the first half as both sides cancelled each other.
