Porto midfielder Andre Andre has claimed that his goal, just after half time during their win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, gave his team "serenity".
The 26-year-old set up Christian Tello's opener before scoring himself as Porto moved to the top of Group G.
Andre has warned their next opponents, Dynamo Kiev, that they will be looking for victory, despite only needing a point to secure qualification.
He is quoted by UEFA.com as saying: "We knew it was going to be a difficult match. Their defeat here against Dynamo Kyiv did not tell the truth about what happened in that game.
"So we wanted to wrap thing up in the first half, and we managed to score one goal. Then we started the second half very strongly, we made it 2-0 and that goal gave us serenity.
"We want to stay top of the group until the end. Against Dynamo we will not play for a draw, we want to get all three points."
Porto are currently second in the Primeira Liga, five points behind Sporting Lisbon.
