Glynn Snodin explains Preston North End's second-half improvement

Preston North End assistant manager Glynn Snodin admits that he and boss Simon Grayson were far from happy with their side's first-half display against Notts County.

Preston North End assistant manager Glynn Snodin has admitted that he and boss Simon Grayson were far from happy with their side's first-half display during Saturday's 2-0 win over Notts County.

Following a goalless opening 45 minutes, Snodin claims that the players were told in no uncertain terms that things had to improve.

"They usually get good cop, bad cop, but today they got bad cop, bad cop," Snodin told the club's official website.

"In the second half we got a reaction and in the end it was nothing more than we deserved. The first half wasn't good from our point of view. We have standards at this club and we fell below them in the first half.

"The second half was a different game. It is frustrating, because it is a game of 90 minutes and we want to make this place a fortress, but the first half it certainly wasn't, but we were happy at the end of the game."

Preston are now unbeaten in five games in all competitions.
