Team News: Leigh Griffiths replaces Kevin Doyle for Wolverhampton Wanderers

Leigh Griffiths displaces Kevin Doyle in Wolverhampton Wanderers' starting lineup for the visit of Preston North End this afternoon.

Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Kenny Jackett has recalled striker Leigh Griffiths to his starting lineup for the visit of Preston North End to Molineux this afternoon.

Griffiths, who dropped to the bench for the 1-0 defeat to Gillingham last weekend, returns to the first XI in place of Kevin Doyle.

Elsewhere, Michael Jacobs retain his place and makes his first start since sealing a permanent move to Wolves from Derby County earlier in the week, with Kevin McDonald and Dave Edwards also preserving their starting spot from the loss to the Gills.

Meanwhile, Preston boss Simon Grayson has named three changes to his team from the 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town last time out, with Joe Garner returning to the lineup at the expense of Kevin Davies.

Wolverhampton Wanderers: McCarey; Ricketts, Batth, Stearman, Golbourne; Henry, Evans, McDonald, Edwards, Jacobs; Griffiths

Preston North End: Rudd; Clarke, Buchanan, Wright, King; Holmes, Welsh, Kilkenny, Gallagher; Garner, Hume
